Project Title: "Turbulent heat transfer in T-junctions" Supervisor: Prof. Miltiadis Papalexandris Tasks and achievements: – Development of computational software for the analysis of turbulent flows in T-junctions – Use of parallelization techniques for the optimisation of this computational software – Analysis of the main heat transfer and mixing mechanisms that act in these flows – Assessment of the risk for thermal fatigue at the walls of the T-junction
