• Led the development of enhancements to the automated merchant configuration service, including the addition and removal of product rules, system configurations and improvements to the design, maintainability, testability and performance of the service. • Supported the recruitment of the team and mentored the new engineers to become proficient in the overall project development.

• Led a development team in designing and implementing the Merchant Self-Onboarding MVP ensuring high availability, performance and resilience leveraging actor concurrency model and event sourcing persistence. • Architected the Merchant Onboarding Platform by aligning the requirements of four departments, optimizing feature distribution across highly cohesive, low-coupled domains, and improving operational efficiency through business process automation using a lightweight BPM execution engine.

• Led the development of an automated merchant configuration service which integrated 20+ products with complex configuration rules, managing 100+ system configurations. This solution reduced merchant configuration time from days to minutes, enabling the rapid onboarding of large merchants with customized requirements.

• Directed the design and implementation of an enterprise portal, employing service-oriented architecture (SOA) and modular separation. • Developed a role-based access control (RBAC) service, ensuring secure, hierarchical data authorization across portal features. • Integrated single sign-on (SSO) into the portal, improving user experience. • Designed and implemented a monitoring library for internal services, enabling unified availability state reporting to the central monitoring platform.

• Led the development of the Giropay payment service, designing an extensible architecture for easy integration of future payment methods. • Integrated multiple fraud prevention services into a high-performance, highly available unified web service, utilizing a rules-based configuration to support merchant requirements. • Developed the integration of multiple external acquirer services for credit card payments into a unified web payment service, ensuring standardized onboarding of new acquirers.

• Designed and implemented an embedded C++ to C translator. Extended the parser with DS-51 microcontroller features, enabling C++ controller development.
