• Design and develop in-house image processing library. • Develop and optimize inline x-ray inspection algorithms.

• Investigated the influence of 3D microstructure on material properties. Measured 3D microstructural evolution during heat treatment using CT and 3DXRD at the Japanese synchrotron radiation facility SPring-8. • Collected and reconstructed 3D particle morphology and associated crystallographic information. • Developed simulation algorithms to model the temporal evolution of 3D microstructural data. Promoted the algorithm efficiency by implementing parallel computing (MPI) and GPU acceleration (CUDA).

Overall grad: 1,3 • Master thesis: Simulation of abnormal grain growth in nanomaterials (grade 1.0) - Implemented an MPI-accelerated algorithm to simulate grain growth in nanomaterials. - Analyzed fractal dimension of 2D and 3D microstructural images.

• Project - Quantitative assessment of the influence of the World Expo (2010) won the first prize of "China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling" in Jiangsu province. • Project - Development of wireless and non-contact ECG measurement (2011) successful application to the "National Undergraduate Innovational Experimentation Program (NUIEP)".
