Miodrag Andjelovic

I am part of this laboratory as an analyst in the physical chemical laboratory and I work on HPLC (Perkin Elmer-Flexar). On these instrument, I analyze additives in cosmetics (parabenes) and additives in beverages (caffeine, benzoate and sorbate) and on GCMS (Perkin Elmer-Clarus® SQ 8) I analyze ftalates and amines in articles of general use.

I Control the quality of water and fruit juices and incoming raw material by ISO methods and international standards. For water samples I examine total number of bacteria, Coliform bacteria and E. coli, fecal enterococci, Ps.aeruginosa and sulphate-reducing clostridia. For juice samples and food samples I control the bacteria Salmonella, L.monocytogenes, Enterobacteriaceae, total number of bacteria and yeasts and molds. In air i control the yeasts and molds.

Responsibilities: My work experience is in the chemistry lab within our sector quality. I do the quality control with the GCMSD 7890/5973C equipment from Agilent Technology and Agilent 7697A Headspace coupled to a 7890A GC system, the VARIAN gas chromatograph with FID (flame- ionisation detector) and ECD (electron capture detector) and GCMS/MS from VARIAN 3800/2000 Saturn.
