Working with an international team to support several external facing systems and numerous internal facing systems. Successfully led the release of a new piece of functionality (Private Artworks) which fundamentally changed the meaning of the Artwork database model across all systems in the company.

Guiding an international team of developers on multiple systems. This involves long term planning and architectural decisions between several teams. Successfully led the release of US tax infrastructure. Currently leading the translation of user generated content such as tags. This has involved database changes in addition to dealing with other factors such as URL friendliness in multiple languages and SEO

Co-lead the creation of an API gateway and authorization re-write. Lead the introduction of both a new measurement and new pricing system company wide. This involved working with every other dev team and ensuring the changes were compatible with the printing algorithm

Worked in a small team to build an international ecommerce platform with Ruby on Rails and Javascript. This involved re-writing a legacy Ruby on Rails app into smaller services to reduce coupling and to allow for API reuse. Bootstrapped multiple environments (dev / staging / production) and setup deployment tooling and monitoring (puppet, vagrant, new relic, capistrano)

A developer that creates and maintains code that interfaces with the mainframe. I also deal with improving the deployment pipeline and ensuring the most recent code is being deployed in all environments, including production.

I was offered this position after my scholarship at Bankwest. I have worked in 2 teams throughout my tenure and have been mainly working with ASP.NET. In the team that I am currently working in, I have done service layer work (.NET web API), interfacing with the mainframe and using front end technologies such as angular. I have worked with TeamCity, powershell and some proprietary deployment software to automate the deployment and configuration of environments.

Obtained this position through a scholarship with the Australian Computer Society. Assisted in the development of multiple projects including a virtual repeatable test environment using VMWare vCloud, CI process using TeamCity, porting from TFS to SVN and a proof of concept of automated infrastructure and application deployment using chef.

Tutored Engineering Programming 100, a first year C programming unit. I run help sessions every week for those that need any extra assistance.
