Manage the Developed and Emerging Market fixed income portfolios across IG/HY credit markets. Propose trading ideas and conducting financial and investment analyses. Ensure the Bank's investments and trading portfolios comply with approved risk parameters and Investment Committee guidelines. Portfolio modelling, risk analysis and calculations on the expected return to ensure alignment with the set target. Assist in the 3yr Asset Allocation strategy and presenting to the Investment Committee.

Covering Fixed Income, Portfolio Management, Alternative Investments

Managed the Banks proprietary Shariah compliant portfolios across Fixed Income, Equities and Real Estate Funds. Generated returns through Fixed Income and Equity trading. Evaluated several direct strategic Equity investments for the bank, including Valuation and Due Diligence. Market research and suggest asset allocation and investment strategies based on expected market trends to the Investment Committee. Provide periodic updates on all proprietary portfolios to ALCO and Investment Committee

I was primarily accountable for managing the Capital Market funds - Fixed Income & Murabaha Fund and developing new funds Notable Achievements I built the portfolio management infrastructure for modelling & monitoring all current & prospective funds - portfolios, reduced reporting time in half assuring the adherence to all investments - risk - compliance parameters in real time.

Primarily targeted to generate income for the Bank. Trading international fixed income markets (cash & derivatives), assist the management with various other portfolios. Notable Achievements Successfully exceeded my allocated budget by 10% by selecting several securities which generated capital gains & assisted in the development & implementation of the Desk strategy - generating alpha across all portfolios while exceeding annual budgets by 5-15% c.a.

Maintained market & portfolio updates; research & analysis of fixed income securities - issuers & prepared investment memos & relevant presentations. One of the major challenges I faced as I sat for the CFA level 1 exam at the same time we implemented a new Treasury system which forced working late nights. Notable Achievements I managed to balance workloads & disciplined myself to study early hours to pass my CFA level 1 exam on the first take.

One of the leading insurance companies in Bahrain. My time there was allocated between the Asset Management & Finance Departments, where I worked on several key tasks; account reconciliations - researching economic & statistical data - contributing to the fund reports.
