Studies on sustainability and durability of cement based materials and tutoring of PhD students: o Development of composite cements using different supplementary cementitious materials (slag, fly ash, etc…) o Alternative binders (alkali activated systems, CSA, etc..): activation, reactivity (hydration mechanisms, kinetics), thermodynamic modelling. o Sulphate attacks and their induced mechanical effects on concrete.

Creep and shrinkage behaviour of concrete and cement pastes under moderate temperatures (20-80°C). o Effect of curing conditions on the reactivity of cementitious phases o Effect of temperature, relative humidity and loading on the C-S-H viscoelastic behaviour.

Diagnosis and prognosis of alkali silica reaction in concrete and mortars o Link between microstructural effects of alkali silica reaction and the mechanical properties of mortars and concrete. o Effect of temperature and alkalinity on the kinetics of alkali silica reaction. o Micromechanical modelling of alkali silica reaction. o Tutoring of undergraduate and master students.
