Working in the Platform Engineering Team. We provide Kubernetes platforms on AKS. My passion lies with the software development area within our team. This ranges from writing Kubernetes operators (golang), general golang applications or scripting to achieve the goal. Supplementary to this I also mendel in monitoring using Prometheus/Grafana and Backup and restore with Velero. Goto toolset comprises of: -Golang -Bash -Csharp -Powershell -AzureDevOps pipelines. -AzureDevOps / Tfs custom tooling.

Working on a Tele-underwriting system. Purpose of the system is to assist users to do an online telephonic medical interview with clients. Interacts with the underwriting software supplied by Swiss-Re Toolset => (MAGNUM). [C#]

Support BOP (Balances of Payments) system for Sanlam Life that interacts with the South African reserve bank in order to report cross-border foreign exchange transactions. Toolset => [C#/SQL Server]

Supporting the newly created policy administration system of Sanlam Life. Analysing system / business errors / requirements and doing code (VB) / data (SQL scripts) fixes in production environment. Supplying technical support to users. Toolset => [VB6/SQL Server]

Maintain and support EDI(Electronic data interchange) system that handles pathologist’s test results. Conducting development/analysis on the Map of data in EDI format to Mainframe data sets and back. Interaction with several pathologists.

Introduce automated testing on mainframe/server environments. Involved compiling rexx scripts and customising to user needs.

Write and maintain mainframe programs in assembler.
