Responsibilities: > Investigating the interactions of abiotic and biotic stress in cereal. > Development of breeding lines and gene markers for fine mapping of a QTL and marker-assisted selection. > Characterization of candidate genes for ozone stress tolerance. > Investigating stress-induced physiological responses in cereals through biochemical assays & analyzing photosynthetic parameters using LI-6800 and LI-600. > Supervising master's and bachelor's students. > Managing a newly established greenhouse.

Achievements: > Sequence alignment with the reference genome. > Kompetitive allele specific PCR (KASP) marker development. > Conducted ozone fumigation experiments with wheat and rice. > Analyzed data about the genome-wide association (GWAS) mapping in winter wheat. > The plausible candidate gene was selected for ozone tolerance in winter wheat.

Achievements: > Identified inclusive market development opportunities for oil crop sunflowers, leading to the creation of Bangladesh's first sunflower oil brand, "Shaad." > Investigated new/potential market channels, business models, or partnerships for pulse crop mungbean. > Monitored and provided feedback on market system trends, and facilitation activities, private and public sector actor interventions that promote inclusive market systems development for premium/aromatic rice.

Achievements: >Conducted 100+ rice-based farming system adaptive trials for the stress (salinity, submergence) affected areas. >Introduced sunflower as a new crop in Bangladesh's highly saline coastal belt. >Developed and implemented a farmer's profit-oriented experimental value chain system for sunflower, mustard, aromatic, and premium-quality rice.

Achievements: >Selected prominent rice landrace for salt tolerance and incorporated it into the breeding program. >Iron-rich rice landraces were selected for a breeding program. >Breeder seed production and managed rice breeding lines were later released as a variety, e.g., Binadhan-11, Binadhan-12.

Currently, I am writing my thesis.

I moved to the University of Giessen with the working group. Therefore, it should not be considered a failure; instead, moving to another university.
