Contact simulations were performed to investigate the effect of static loads on the assembly of Head up Displays. The prediction quality of the simulations was improved by verifying the simulation results with measurements and investigating the effect of manufacturing tolerances on the simulation results. Sensitivity analysis and parameter uncertainty study was also carried out to investigate the effect of different parameters on simulation results. Best combination of the material properties is determined.

“Literature review and implementation of Abaqus scripting in Python (x, y) for the creation and analysis of composite models” • Developed Python scripts to generate different composite models in ABAQUS. • Numerical simulations of composite models were carried out in ABAQUS.
