Manages and mentors Microchip Philippines Failure Analysis Laboratory and FA Team consisting 23 FA Engineers, 7 FA Technicians, and 7 inspectors. Work with Global Lab Director and Local Site manager to define and execute the Lab strategy. Implement performance metrics to continuously improve the reporting, analysis and management of FA team. Demonstrate a commitment to customer service by driving root cause and solving problems quickly and effectively.

Supports NPI, Qualifications, and yield improvements activities for key products through product analysis on complex functional FA cases. Utilizes external lab advanced FA techniques such as nanoprobing, EBIC/EBAC, FIB and TEM to identify root cause of complex functional and soft defect type of failures. Drive yield enhancement activities together with Assembly, Test, product Engineering, and Wafer Fab as appropriate. Supports resolution of key Customer issues through product analysis and problem solving.

Performs in-depth electrical and physical failure analysis for through the following duties: Non-destructive analysis with External Visual Inspection, Acoustic Microscopy, and X-ray Analysis; Electrical verification with curve tracer, ATE, and bench tools; Fault isolation using EMMI, OBIRCH, laser scanning, and die level microprobing; Physical analysis thru chemical and plasma etching, mechancal delayering, and hybrid delayering techniques; Optical and Electron based Microscopy using SEM/EDX.
