Body Development & Releasing

Responsable for proptype build in Virtual reality from concept to Final development, presentations to vice president level. Construction of CAD items in Catia, liase with studio and engineering teams , design proposals. Investigations on Interior roominess, visibility and ergonomics according to Legal and Corperate requirements. Worked on Transit , Fiesta, and Focus Development of Virtual Reality processes.

CAD Studies supporting visibility , ergonomics and roominess targets for Ford Transit, Fiesta, Focus, C-MAX using Catia , liase with studio and engineering teams, design proposals. Developed and coordinated full size physical bucks for global customer clinics

Responsable for design verification of interior systems of Ford Kuga, chairing x-functional teams and report out to management.

Development of x-platform underbody package, chairing x-functional team reviews, liase with multi production facilities and OEM suppliers. Using I-DEAS and Vismockup

Concept studies of shared underbody platform between Ford , Volvo & land Rover, liase with multi site pre-program teams. Using I-DEAS and Vismockup

Development of C & D pillar of Ford Focus & C- MAX, using I-DEAS

Feasability studies of V6 diesel Engine in Mondeo, Jaguar XJ

Development of front end body structure of Mazda 6, using I-DEAS

Development of motor compartment & underbody packaging of Ford Mondeo, Scorpio, Focus. Lead x-functional sub-teams, report out to management reviews

Development of Ford Galaxy & Scorpio Air HVAC housings, Escort cost reduction proposals, using PDGS

Manual body draughtsman on Buick Reatta, Leyland Military truck, later trained on PDGS as CAD designer on Mazda RZ-1 project

4 Year apprenticeship in independant design house - worked in workshops, CAE analyis, prototype build and drawing office. Assigned as project leader on GT40 rebuild. Qualified as full body layout draughstman.
