Led 12 engineers across two teams, owning a mission-critical account platform serving 100M+ customers. Responsible for scaling and performance optimization of a multi-terabyte Cassandra deployment on AWS. Drove the technical design and end-to-end launch of the company’s first Kubernetes-as-a-Service offering, enabling early adoption across six engineering teams. Guided the team recognized with the CIO Team of the Year award, overseeing on-call operations, production rollouts, and platform reliability.

Led and scaled engineering for two consumer products: Smalltalk, a conversational SMS-based eCommerce experience (Techstars NYC 2014), and Swig, a social photo-sharing and taste graph recommendation platform (acquired in 2016). Acquired by private investor. Managed a remote four-person engineering team and drove architecture, product strategy, and end-to-end delivery. Designed and built distributed systems supporting real-time social features, graph-based recommendations, and mobile-first user experiences.

Actify is a web and mobile platform that offers innovative "freetime activity" exploration in Germany. Actify fuses social, community based interaction with rich exploration features for finding the perfect local events for you in Berlin, Hamburg and Frankfurt Germany. Primarily responsible for hiring and management of a 12 member team spanning UX design, Backend, Android, iOS, QA and Project Management.

CityMaps is a New York based startup presenting a product that offers users a highly visual, social map. CityMaps offers its map for the web as well as iOS. Acquired by TripAdvisor in 2017. citymaps.com Lead iOS engineer, developing the product from the ground up. Drove all major mobile product decisions, including strategy of the product as well as user experience details. Responsible for major product rollouts, Quality Assurance planning, and coordination with aggressive business goals.

The North America regional office (arvato systems, a Bertelsmann company) acts as a successful implementation partner for high profile, global eCommerce rollouts using the Hybris technology. Hybris ranks in the industry as a top-tier eCommerce platform. Lead software development teams which specialized in front and backend technologies leveraging the SAP Hybris eCommerce Platform. Facilitated requirements gathering workshops (pre + post sales) for business and technical audiences.

Key contributor in the development of a multi-million dollar enterprise solution for EMI Music Publishing corporation utilizing conventional as well as Business Process Modeling (BPM) technologies. Development lead for project’s internal Business Process Modeling (BPM) team for the IBM Teamworks platform. Managed and delegated weekly deliverables for a four person New York City and London based team for EMI Music.

Developed web and mobile-based electronic medical record (EMR) software for long-term healthcare facilities. Lead developer for Windows Mobile based modules for the PocketPC platform, providing users wireless management of real-time, electronic medical record data. Long-term healthcare facilities used modules to track patient care plan and health assessment records. Utilized the .NET Compact Framework.

Transformed a month long honors course scheduling process down to a handful of days by developing a .NET web-application to university’s 2,000+ honors inter-departmental faculty and students. Implemented a web-based solution which facilitates the registration and management of 400+ participants for the annual Massachusetts Statewide Undergraduate Conference.
