Development team lead in Business Unit Installations developing new modular support systems

Technical project manager in the Business Unit Installations systems. The installations systems are modular support structure systems used in the construction industry to support piping, ventilation etc. in buildings. I am responsible for all the technical aspects of the various projects within my team. Most of the products are sheet metal parts, stamped, bent and formed with production volumes in the 100,000s.

Sabbatical year - Volunteer engineer working for a Prakti Design in Tamil Nadu, Southern India. Prakti Design is a social enterprise which designs and produces clean efficient cooking stoves for the developing world. My role is to help with the R&D to try and reduce emissions from the stoves as well as increase the efficiency. I am also responsible for coordinating with suppliers for the production and quality control of the stoves.

Development Engineer in product care department of nail gun consumables team, working on small projects improving quality, cost reductions and product line extensions. Spent 1 ½ years as technical project manager responsible for technical aspects of relocating a nail production line from China to Mexico. Built up development links with development office in China and mentored the Chinese engineer whilst working on several consumable projects

Internship working as a Production Engineer for Stannah Lifts. A UK company specialising in short travel lifts and domestic mobility aids.

Selective exchange program intended to take top European engineering students and expose them to an international environment in order to further develop soft skills.
