Psychological support and psychotherapy for people living abroad, in particular Italians and English speaking persons

I worked as assistant psychologist (voluntary) at the Caritasverband in Mannheim, in the Psychological service for parents, children and adolescents. I was involved in the psychological and psychosocial support of migrants' families.

I decided to work as private psychologist, so I dedicated a period to create my professional network, find a suitable office, getting introduced to the norms and laws regarding psychological services abroad, and continuing my education in psychotherapy.

As a postdoctoral researcher, I developed and implemented a research project assessing psychopathic personality traits in a students' population, using two self-reported questionnaires (Psychopathic Personality Inventory Revised - PPI-R; Triarchic Measure of Psychopathy - TriPM). I conducted statistical data-analysis and I presented results at several International and National Conferences.

I worked as Clinical Psychologist for the ''Dafne project for the diagnosis and treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in crime victims''. Our team was made of three psychiatrists and two psychologist. We offered assessment, diagnosis, counselling and treatment of trauma-related psychological problems, included PTSD.

Cognitive-Behavioural Psychotherapy

During my Ph.D. I investigated the role of social cognition and attachment experiences in the sexual aggressor and victim relationship. A paper based on this project was published in 2011 in ''Counsciousness and Cognition''.
