Backend engineering for a European savings and investment marketplace serving customers in Germany and the UK. Python microservices with FastAPI, Kafka and SQL on AWS and Kubernetes. Built customer-facing features for bonus campaigns and payouts, and contributed to authentication work across product migrations. Worked on scalability and reliability for high-traffic periods.

Designed and built Bayanat, the open-source data management platform SJAC uses to document human rights violations. Full-text search over millions of records, permission and workflow system, import and export pipelines, encrypted backups and a signed auto-update pipeline. Ongoing architecture, security and infrastructure lead.

Software studio and product company. Author of Enferno (569 GitHub stars), a Flask framework with Vue 3 and production auth, ReadyKit (247 stars), a SaaS starter with multi-tenancy and billing, and stk, an async Python framework. Built and operate FlowDesk, a deal-flow platform for UAE property developers with real-time inventory, PDF offer generation and Salesforce sync. AI work: MCP server for Dubai Land Department data, RAG on Enferno, LLM extension for Flask.

Led web engineering for Al Arabiya at MBC Group, the leading Arab satellite broadcaster. Core API for web, mobile and TV, video transcoding pipeline integrating Avid TV systems with the website, ara.tv URL shortener. MBC Top Achiever Award 2012.
