Nils Krehl

Student assistant at the Institute for Computational Biomedicine (Saez-Rodriguez Group) at Heidelberg University Hospital (UKHD). The student assistant position is located within the BioCypher/Biochatter project and supervised by Sebastian Lobentanzer. The main focus is on Biomedical Knowledge Graphs, Graph Machine Learning and the maintenance of BioCypher.

Participated as a tutor during the orientation week for international students, providing guidance to a group of students from the disciplines of Computer Science, Mathematics, Computational Linguistics, and Physics. The orientation week was designed to introduce new international students to the university and help them settle into life in Heidelberg.

As part of this student internship I have worked on the "Evaluation of embedding methods for biomedical knowledge graphs". The internship was externally supervised by Alberto Santos Delgado (head of the Multi-omics Network Analytics group at DTU Biosustain) and internally supervised by Matthias Mann (University of Copenhagen).
