Initial Problem Statement: Model Development and Testing of Shunt resistor based IVT sensor for Automotive Applications

As a Student Intern, Helped the System Engineering team with creating new test cases. Brainstorming methods for improvement in System Design. Standardising Customer Vehicle architectures for internal system development and testing as per Sys5 guidelines

• Assisted the CAPA team with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis(FMEA) for wiring harness and electronic failures by analyzing warranty data to identify trends in utility vehicles. • Led a team of 3 to develop a Machine Learning algorithm on Databricks, achieving 88% accuracy in identifying critical safety issues in warranty database, and automated the escalation workflow using Power Automate. • Developed KPIs for project tracking, deployed Power BI reports saving 15hr/week.

Project 1: Battery thermal behavior modelling using PINNs in MATLAB. > Built a physics informed neural network model for 2D battery thermal behavior. > Executed the model in MATLAB and documented results in a report. Project 2: Automotive Electronics System Simulation > Built a multibody system model of an Electric kart with subsystems like power management, battery, brakes, motor, suspension. > Gained exposure to HIL testing and automotive networks like CAN, LIN and FlexRay.

Mini Project: Onboard Sensor PCB design and Development > Researched and selected sensors for the problem statement (Green House condition monitoring). > Designed schematics and layout for the Onboard sensor PCB using KiCAD. > Documented operation and presented results.

Formula Student Team • Led a sub-team of 4 to design the entire powertrain by performing CAD using SolidWorks, reducing weight by 18%. • Conducted dyno testing to calibrate ECU and fuel injectors and worked with data logging tools for real time signal measurement, improving engine fuel efficiency by 20%. • Engaged in the Design and cost presentation during Static phases, contributing to the team’s 1st place win at SAE Supra 2022 and 5th place at Formula Bharat 2021.
