Zuständigkeiten: Bauleitplanung (Bebauungsplanung, Flächennutzungsplanung), Fachgutachten und Standortanalysen (u. a. für Windparks, Photovoltaikanlagen etc.), Geographische Informationssysteme (ArcGIS, AutoCad Map 3D, Geomedia, Caigos, Ingrada). Tochtergesellschaft: Karst Invest Erschließungs- und Bauträgerschaft GmbH & Co. KG

The superior regional authorities for “traffic & construction” is 1 division of the Ministry of Infrastructure & Agriculture in the federal state Brandenburg (headquarters: Potsdam). Four departments are competent for urban planning & development and the traffic sector (road, rail, air). My position is in a section "Observation of the spatial development" (Raumbeobachtung) in the general department, that provides principal (IT-) services (maps, statistics etc) for the spatial planning in Berlin-Brandenburg

Duration of employment (altogether): over 1 year in full-time. The corporation „stadt & land“ provides various services: consulting for local authorities, strategies for regional development, concepts for traffic & urban planning, regional studies on infrastructure, economy, population etc. Some projects are partly financed by federal states and the European Union (EFRE-, ELER-funds). The cooperating players are institutions, organizations and partners: architects, engineers, planning offices, media.

Duration of employment (altogether): five months in full-time. At the university of Kiel I was employed at an interdisciplinary department. In an extensive long-term research project I applied Geographical Information Systems ArcGIS for spatial analysis and cartography.
