Osama Al-Schameri

As a Master's thesis student at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, I led data annotation and constructed point clouds for LiDAR datasets, integrating them with panoramic images to improve spatial accuracy. I developed a segmentation model optimized for cloud integration, enabling scalable processing on large datasets. My work achieved 88% system robustness across different camera setups and datasets from multiple countries, ensuring reliable performance in diverse environments.

In my role, I prepared datasets and built models for object detection, segmentation, and classification, achieving high accuracy. I used GANs to improve image quality, created applications and dashboards for computer vision workflows, and applied NLP techniques like text classification and NER to automate data extraction. I also fine-tuned LLMs and integrated them into RAG systems, advancing knowledge retrieval in AI solutions.

As a Research Assistant at Multimedia University, I developed a deep learning algorithm for breast cancer cell detection and segmentation, improving diagnostic accuracy in medical imaging. I also led a real-time medical image detection and segmentation system, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. This experience enhanced my expertise in healthcare AI applications and strengthened my skills in managing complex, impactful projects in collaborative research settings.
