As AKG’s Process Excellence Manager for India (> 200 employees in production), covering 12 markets. Lead a new team of AKG Excellence & build the team governance model. Develop and Support new production line, for the mining, construction equipment, railway and power sector majors. Train the production team on the AKG Excellence journey via workshops Perform local AKG Excellence maturity assessments and conformity checks. Ensure execution with constant follow-up on an agreed action plan.

As a production head, responsible for manufacturing processes of turbines and generators with 660 to 1000MW range.

Managing fabrication & machining workstations and provide engineering support to issues related to the product, quality, operator training and safety for facilitating smooth production. Managed process planning design for the new product launch, review and validation of process parameters, designing special custom tools and fixtures for ease manufacturing. Participated and driven kaizen projects focused on safety, improving efficiency and productivity, error proofing with considerable saving.

Responsible for workstation design, tooling, fixtures, equipments to support existing and NPI products Team member of CAPA and utilized six sigma tools like Pareto analysis, root cause analysis, fishbone diagram, 5W’s, 8D and DMAIC to resolve production issues and related RMA’s from customer. Lead and implemented 5S at various work station and department. Successfully initiated lean culture. Lead SMED project to reduce setup time of HMC and 5-Face Machining center by 55%.

Creating machine programs that are accurate to customer requirements and that support current manufacturing methods. Designing tooling for production and write programs for CNC machines using Master CAM. Analyzing drawings, sketches, and design data of part to determine times for quotes and productions of parts. Experienced with 3, 4, and 5 axis machining, machine setup, and fixture design concepts.

Program, set and operate a range of CNC machines, manufacturing product as specified by order. Understanding drawing tolerances, geometric tolerances and surface finishes Cutting a wide range of materials including Non Ferrous, Aluminum, Alloy Steels and others Maintaining material traceability, carry out basic in process inspections and record inspection status in accordance with the Company’s quality system procedures.
