I am currently doing my bachelor thesis in Design and Development for MULTI - A Ropeless Elevator System at Thyssenkrupp Elevators GmbH. What's different about this design methodology is that it's been done using topology optimization using a finite element analysis tool rather than traditional design methodology

I had the opportunity to closely work with the engineers at MULTI and to see it come to life. My tasks included from handling CAD models to animating complex assemblies from which I was able to learn the working mechanism of MULTI. I am also very interested in finite element analysis and had the opportunity to even learn about some of the analyses that were done for some of the main components of the MULTI elevator using topology optimization instead of traditional design methodology
