Development and setup of high throughput protein crystallization equipment including • automated pipetting and liquid handling systems on nanoliter scale, • robotic storage and visualization devices, • crystallization screen development, • Oracle database scheme and • software development for appropriate database clients.

Optical spectroscopy and the introduction and establishment of static and dynamic light scattering (DLS) devices for projects regarding • protein stability and heterogeneity, • investigation of complex formulations, • solubility and aggregation studies of drug candidates, • automation of light scattering devices and • software development for high throughput DLS data evaluation within a drug discovery context.
