Secure Firmware Lead for custom Arm-based SoCs with iRoT for data centres.

Outside of my work activities and in my spare time I am an active contributor to the OpenBSD operating system: Bootstrapping platform support for both 32- and 64-bit ARM, bringing up a number of SoC families (NXP i.MX6 & i.MX8M, Qualcomm Snapdragon, Rockchip, ...) Developing and debugging more than 100 kernel drivers, spanning from GPIO controllers over PCIe controllers to WiFi chipsets. Implementing Device Tree based infrastructure to allow board-agnostic interaction with drivers.

Bringing up and debugging custom Arm-based SoCs for data centres. Designing and implementing TCG-compliant attestation mechanisms for internal RoTs (DICE, SPDM), including the provisioning process.

Implementing and reviewing security principles in low-level firmware. Assessing systems designs to catch security gaps and to provide lifts. Establishing secure boot and attestation mechanisms for internal RoTs. Simulating crypto hardware to accelerate software development.

Software development for a brand new hardware platform. Selected hardware components and implemented low-level kernel drivers for those. Engineered a secure boot mechanism across product lines. Reverse engineered and re-implemented binaries to guarantee security. Engineered unidirectional security gateways based on an L4 microkernel. Implemented and maintained build infrastructure for code review and continuous integration.
