Salakala is a small consultancy specialising in making my knowledge, experience and skills available to those in need.

I was in charge of a team of support engineers helping external developers to build software and hardware products that work with Skype. In an interim capacity (from Dec 2007 to Jun 2009) I also managed the Skype Developer Program.

I was in charge of building up a pan-Baltic technical services organization supporting mission-critical Sun Microsystems servers in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

I was in charge of Privador's information security product range comprising of a firewall, IP VPN solution and a TCP VPN solution.

I succeeded in establishing partnerships for the distribution of information security products developed by Cybernetica (since 03/2000 Privador) in five European countries.

I was in charge of designing, authoring and maintaining the company's intranet and internet websites.

Founded by a couple of Computer Science students as a "legal body to put on invoices for our services", Capricorn quickly turned into a full-time job for me, evolved into a hardware/software sales & support organization and eventually became the country's leading provider of newspaper subscription management software.

Both my BA and MA theses focused on legal issues concerning the development, distribution and use of free and open-source software.
