World Computer Exchange (WCE) is a nonprofit organization working in 77 countries, committed to improving the opportunities for youth in developing countries by connecting them to the skills, opportunities and understanding of the Internet. I have initiated and continue to advise on a sustainability initiative aimed at both improved financial sustainability as well as assuring the environmentally sustainable end-of-lifetime treatment and proper recycling. I also serve on the Audit Committee.

I continue to lead the Sustainability Committee and to serve on the Audit Committee.

ICC Germany in Berlin is the national committee of the International Chamber of Commerce, headquartered in Paris. As Senior Advisor on the Digital Economy I serve as ICC Germany's delegate on the Commission on the Digital Economy at ICC in Paris.

UNESCO is the United Nations agency with the broadest mandate. It is made unique by the links with civil society it has forged through its 193 National Commissions around the world. The function of this network is to support governments in their work within UNESCO, and to further the aims of UNESCO in the Member States. Since 2006 I serve in the communications expert group.

As an ambitious, visionary and passionate industry representative and public affairs advocate for the Internet and the Information Society, I work at the intersection of regulatory and economic policies with trade and international relations. Currently looking for a new challenge in public and international affairs, government relations, and stakeholder engagement covering the Information Society, ICT4D, the Internet and its Governance.

The Global Alliance for Information and Communication Technologies and Development (GAID), an initiative approved by the United Nations Secretary-General in 2006, was launched after comprehensive worldwide consultations with governments, the private sector, civil society, the technical and Internet communities and academia. While the 2005 United Nations Summits emphasized the importance of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in achieving the internationally agreed development goals.

Introduced Corporate Responsibility into the company’s strategic planning process and built up a global network of regional representatives. Developed basic principles and strategic direction for global CSR pro-gram and activities, policies and guidelines, budgeting and controlling.

The Secretary General of the United Nations established the Advisory Group (referred to as the Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) in 2006, following the World Summit on the Information Society. Its purpose is to assist the Secretary General in convening the Internet Governance Forums. The MAG comprised of 56 Members from governments, the private sector and civil society, including representatives from the academic and technical communities.

Provided key ethical leadership overcoming staff insecurity in the critical first years following the start of the new joint venture. Promoted new Code of Conduct, developed and introduced web-based e-learning tool for ethical training of staff for 60,000 global employees. Drove development and implementation of web-based monitoring and reporting tool for ethical, environmental and labor conditions.

Successfully pushed German Broadband Strategy and infrastructure atlas, in alignment with EU Digital Agenda and goals for EU 2020

Enabled realization of complex projects by applying public affairs analysis, creativity and initiative to convince national governmental and international financial institutions to participate in commercial and political risk-sharing arrangements: * Doubled max amount of risk coverage to finance a tranche of USD 100 million for a Brazilian telecom operator, one year after Brazil’s 1998 financial crisis * Brought in the EBRD as equity investor for political support in the acquisition of CKD, Czech Republic
