Non Destructive Testing (NDT) and Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) of anisotropic, multilayer materials using Ultrasonic Guided Waves (UGW)

I worked in the Manufacturing Department, and had a myriad of different tasks assigned to me. Some things that I looked into over the course of the summer included: - redesigning the configuration of a handle on the rear of the ISO-containers - investigating the design of the baffles currently in use in the tankers - inspecting design specifications for consistency and governmental regulations

Under the direction of Dr. John Zielinski; Mainly worked on two projects: a simple technique for the measurement of H2 sorption capacities, and trouble-shooting the installation of a high-temperature, helium pycnometer.

Thesis Title: "A fundamental study to enable ultrasonic structural health monitoring of a thick-walled, composite, over-wrapped pressure vessel"

Passed the qualifying exams in Dynamics, Controls and Acoustics
