Pritam Waghode

I am currently working as a High-Voltage Electrical Simulation Engineer at DAF Trucks through the contractor WEB, where I focus on high-voltage electrical system analysis and battery performance modeling for electric trucks. In this role, I develop and perform simulations of the vehicle’s high-voltage architecture and its components, while also analyzing test data to support engineering design decisions and system validation.

As an Intern at DAF Trucks, I initially worked on performing short-circuit analysis of the high-voltage architecture of their electric truck during the first three months of my internship. Later, I completed my graduation thesis over the next nine months, in which I designed and simulated a closed-loop-controlled 22 kW bidirectional onboard charger for V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) applications and developed a 5 kW hardware prototype to validate the design.

As an electronics engineer in the formula student team responsible for designing a battery management system for a 44V battery pack to be used on a DUT24 vehicle and designing a power converter board for a DUT24 vehicle, capable of powering the entire low voltage and autonomous system.

As an associate engineer worked on designing schematics and harnesses for CAT and FG Wilson genset packages on CREO for NPI projects ranging from 30kVA to 2500kVA. As an electrical engineer had the responsibility of working on working on the selection of harness components and other electro-mechanical components for different projects based on the location of the production facility. and on the integration of alternators, AVRs, and breakers with the engine, base frame, and rest of the electrical system.

During three years, played various roles in the team starting from the data acquisition engineer to leading the E-Powertrain and Electronics system during the final year. Worked on many different areas such as validation of the suspension system, designing of safety electronics circuit for the team's first electric vehicle, optimizing PCBs and battery pack design for better thermal management and performance, modeling of the wiring harness on CATIA and battery pack on MATLAB for simulations.
