Although originally a Contract-To-Hire position ( January 2005 - June 2005) and permanently placed as a Delphi web/Client-Server//Desktop developed, have served as a de facto SQL Server DBA designing and implementing databases, serving as a database architect/liason assisting in creation of databases and ETL processes in support implementation outside vendor applications involving "Intelligent OCR" and also performance metrics gathering and reporting, and assisting developers with SQL, etc.

I provide consulting on database design, development, development of Stored Procedures, SQL queries, and tuning. My main focus is SQL Server (2000 or 2005) and MS Access. I also provide application development in Delphi, COBOL, andPL/I. I have debugged and developed in Prolog, C#, and several other languages, although I do not consider myself "fluent" in them.

I was contracted SBC (now AT&T) to develop ad hoc queries and ETl processes to assist in data mining the Teradata database contraining client information at SBC.

I was contracted to document an in-house developed application suite that was developed in Delphi 5 against a DB2 database. The project was strictly limited to 90 days during which time I created functional design documentation of the existing system. The deliverable documantation was to be used as a framework for on going and more detailed documentation by the in-house developers.

I contracted to assist the Director of Research and Development by managing the software team in the final stages of rolling out a new Globalscape product. I provided guidance to and supervised the work of 7 developers using PHP and mySQL to develop a web based content management application for commercial release.

Primary Responsibilities: Maintenance and enhancement of Delphi 5/DB2 electronic bill presentment & payment & providing programming support for other Delphi applications. Secondary Responsibilities included: - Helping define documentation requirements for overall batch processing; - Helping redesign overall suite of batch processing programs; - Co-authoring task assignment & time tracking application; - Helping both QA and developers resolve application/system related issues.

Designed tools for Blockbuster Entertainment Group Buyers that facilitated the creation, storage, and application of complex SQL statements to create product allocations. Liaised with principle buyers to ensure products meet specifications of the particular department. Assisted developers in designing SQL queries and statistical routines to analyze data for other Blockbuster departments.
