Currently working in the following areas: - configuration of storages (mainly, but not only EMC) - automated installation / configuration / update / migration of high performance Oracle RAC clusters ( > 10.000 transactions/sec) - Oracle CRS/ASM/RDBMS setup and error diagnosis - performance tuning on storage/OS/database level - Oracle Dataguard Replication - Virtualized Environments (mainly, but not exclusively VMWare) - High Availability for Oracle OLTP systems - Leader of database team

Continued to work on integration of high performance systems, now based on - Sparc Solaris - x86 Solaris - x86 RedHat Enterprise Linux - Oracle RAC Focus was on non functional aspects of the overall system (load/stress/performance tests).

Moved to Siemens IN (Intelligent Networks). Workd in integration of high performance Unix based telco systems. Project team leader for most of the time.

Started in 1989 as an integration engineer in the Siemens PN division (private networks). Integrated various products in the Hicom300 product family. The products were based on - Unix (various dialects) - Windows Server - Siemens proprietary telco OS Three short term assignments to Siemens in the US in Boca Raton (Florida) and Santa Clara (Silicon Valley) in 1992, 1995, 1996 - 4 months each. From 1996 - 1999 leader of a software integration team in Berlin.

Functional Analysis and Computer Science. Worked (partly) in parallel as assistant teacher.
