As Systems Architect I was responsible for System Architecture and System Design and for Model-Based Development in our R&D Department. MACAWI develops OEM products for medical respirators and offers a creative inspiring team of developers, each with a long experience in medical product development and with a broad network ranging from clinical institutes, universities, specialists and suppliers. Since June 2013 MACAWI is part of the Demcon Holding.

Development of medical ventilator algorithms design. Design of medical ventilators using model-based design. Responsible for design with and courses on model-based design tools from the Mathworks and dSPACE. Responsible for contact with our German customers.

Software development of hardware controllers and algorithms for medical ventilators using model-based design and production code generation from Simulink models. Introduced the Model-Based Design method at the R&D department. Responsible for internal courses for several products of the Mathworks (Simulink, Stateflow, RTW, Embedded Coder) and dSPACE.

Design and implementation in LabVIEW of algorithms for determining the respiratory effort of mechanically ventilated patients
