In my lectures at ETH Zürich I learnt a lot about additive manufacturing. For my bachelor thesis I wanted to further expand my knowledge in this area. The Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) in Villigen gave me the possibility to do that. In my bachelor thesis with the title "Finite element modelling of thermal profiles during laser powder bed fusion of Ti alloys with thin-wall structure" I developed finite element models with the software ABAQUS. SmartBreed GmbH is a start up, which produces fully automated grasshopper breeding systems for customers. As Head of Engineering, I was responsible for the development and production of our latest prototypes, as well as the communication regarding technical details between SmartBreed GmbH and our suppliers.

The time at Fehlmann AG, gave me the possibility to deepen the theoretical knowledge from my mechanical engineering studies at the ETH and convert it to practical use.
