ETH Zurich and Harvard spin-off, AI-assisted orthopedic surgical planning, FDA cleared and CE marked. Set the technical strategy and target architecture for the move from start-up to scale-up, across four products, three of them regulated medical devices. Introduced a shared, auditable AI-first development system that generates the security and regulatory evidence for each change. The role ends in October 2026 because the financing round did not close.

Led 50+ engineers and managers in eight teams across Switzerland, Finland and Hungary, including the HPC team behind the compute for our algorithms, data pipelines and AI and ML workloads (on-premise, cloud and hybrid) and a DevOps team run on DORA metrics. Accountable for the full lifecycle of a Class IIb platform under MDR and FDA: architecture, deployment, third-level field support, risk management and cybersecurity.

Led distributed teams for software architecture, systems engineering, risk management, cybersecurity and interoperability in Switzerland, Finland, Hungary and India. Established the architecture governance that let eight product teams build on shared foundations without a central bottleneck.

Built and led the architecture and platform team that took adaptive radiotherapy from concept to clinical product in two years, with architects and platform engineers in Switzerland and Finland.

Led software, systems and test engineers building the clinical application and the embedded real-time imaging for proton therapy.

Built and led the extension team in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from the first hire.

Helped formulate and establish the CSR policy and objectives, and managed CSR activities at Vizrt Switzerland.

Led the core engineering teams after the acquisition by Vizrt, owning API and architecture across the product line, quality assurance and the product board for opportunity assessments.

Supervised PhD and Master students and responsible for transfer of research results.

First employee of the ETH spin-off. Turned the research prototype into the first product: real-time camera calibration and tracking from the broadcast picture alone, first live broadcast on Teleclub.

PhD in computer graphics on physics based simulation of fluids and elasto-plastic objects.

Responsible for the local organization of the Symposium on Point-based Graphics.

• Implemented computer vision and graphics algorithms for a digital medical imaging system. • Designed and implemented several components of the imaging framework.

• Developed helper applications such as a Log File Viewer in Java., Included the evaluation of requirements, planning, design and implementation.

• Extended the CAD software (C++) with printing functionality.
