Responsible for six mfg operations in NA/SA. Sales total $500M with 1000 employees. Duties: planning/ sourcing of product from Far Eastern/European suppliers. Manufacturing Operations: 3 foundries/4 machining plants. Labor relations experience:negotiations with USW and CAW. • Single point focus within the product lines • Manages capacity utilization/restructuring • Operations member:Far-Eastern JVTeam •Led plant rationalization & subsequent closures and off-shore sourcing/investment

Exec resp. for 2 plants producing braking products for automotive AM & OEM. Resp. include entire supply chain mgmt of IL site of 350 employees & $150M sales & WI site of 60 employees & $40M in sales. • Implemented a CI program with 190 proj's resulting in multi-million dollar savings. • Member of due-diligence team for 2 acquisitions • Year to year product savings for 5 yrs continuous through process improvements.

Site Manager with profit/loss resp. for $90 M sales, 400 employee facility producing automotive master cylinders & other brake products. Processes include ferrous and non-ferrous machining, one-piece flow assembly, bonding and welding. Workforce is high commitment work teams • Doubled workforce in 2 years with conversion cost reduced by 8 & 10%. • Implemented Pull System: reduced inventory 15%. • Implemented Alternate Work Plan that allowed the plant to run on 7 day mfg schedule & meet customer demand

Operations, mtls, mfg and quality engr resp. for the master cylinder product line at this 1200 employee, $250M sales plant. Assisted in transition of the work environment from a traditional UAW supervisor/employee relationship to participative management. •Developed &implemented plan to relocate product line & met all goals & timetables without any interruption of customer schedules. • Implemented product line plan that resulted in a 12% conversion cost reduction. •Implemented TQM.

Responsible for pricing and preparing customer proposals for the Brake Actuation System products. Goals were measured in terms of market share growth and profitability. Developed business and strategic plans and ensured proper implementation of action plans by manufacturing and product engineering. Coordinated activities with international divisions.

Held various account responsibilities to Ford, Chrysler, and Volkswagen. Interfaced with the customer purchasing organization on negotiations of price, delivery, new products, quality, and sourcing plans. Served as the first line liaison between AlliedSignal and customer engineering on behalf of all disciplines.
