Administer $4.6M in internal grant funds to IU researchers for innovative research and education programs-16-$80K bi-annual grants. Currently, writing response to $350K AHRQ Patient Safety & Quality Through Simulation Research " grant. Key player in all pre and post award activities-create review committees, screen proposals, handle invoicing,award-rejection letters, grants agreement, grant updates etc.

Investigated and assisted U.S. Attorney Office-Southern District in prosecuting Medicaid program integrity-fraud cases which yielded $271K in recovered funds and a three year federal sentence. Assisted in search warrant, trial witness preparation, interviewing, interrogation, health care claim and reimbursement analysis. Only one in unit of 20 investigators to successfully prosecute a abuse and neglect case against a MRDD patient resulting in diversion.

• State/Local Liaison with all 92 county local health departments (LHD County Public Health Officer/Physician and Chief Public Health Nurse). Accountable for day to day operations at Local Liaison Office (LLO) including the creation of the Indiana Public Health Institute (IPHI) to for continuing medical education (CME) for Public Health/Medical Officer, Chief Public Nurse and LHD staff to assure accreditation and training in public health. •Key contributor to creating a new not-for-profit association

• Designed, created and executed a highly successful "Great Teaching" annual fund campaign exceeding goals and achieving $220,000 in two years. Created special events to attract and honor current and prospective donors. • Strategized and created special events to honor major donors with Director of Development, Headmaster, Boards of Trustees & Directors as part of plan to achieve $7,000,000 capital campaign goal. Researched and identified targeted foundations, and individuals for major and matching gifts

•Key contributor in organizing an Indiana Congressional delegation briefing promoting the successful administration of innovative Medicaid contract and new Tri-Care/CHAMPUS/DOD health benefits program in front of in Washington, DC and get positive news coverage from D.C. which is carried to WTHR-TV and Indianapolis Star garnering good local coverage reinforcing corporate communication message. • Developed key relationships with majority and minority legislative staffs and legislators to assist pass and defeat legislative proposals. Wrote legislative newsletters, briefs, bulletins and articles in ISMA Bulletins and Indiana Medicine, defeated passage of SB 411, a bill by the Governor to make the ISDH Commissioner not be required to be a licensed physician, but failed to stop governor from directly appointing Commissioner. Failed to defeat preferred provider organization (PPO) legislation (HB 1034)
