To initiate and implement new lean principles at our Venlo based plant

My work involves optimizing and streamlining the production line. using a number of lean principles eg 5S, workplace optimalisation, kit cars refinements, Kaizens, lead-time reduction involving parallel instead of serial production, Kan Ban)

Consulting customers on which emergency backup power plan would be the best solution for them. If the customer liked the solution I was responsible for the contracts, supply and its installation for them. Financial responsibility was up to 1 million euro

For clean room production, responsible for: planning, progress, quality and budget. My team comprised of 6 employees.

Responsible for the planning, progress, manpower, quality, budget and price negotiations with suppliers. This involved close contact with customers and their advisors in order to keep the projects running as smoothly as possible. I managed teams of up to 20 people and had financial responsibility for up to 3 million euros. Other projects completed: Ikea Heerlen, School community Were-di Valkenswaard, police station, Roermond, Hospitaal Jeroen Bosch ’s Hertogenbosch, Datacenter Rabobank Best

Installing lithographic tools at customers’ sites around the world. The main responsibility was to build and install systems at customers’ premises and perform several tests to ensure quality met individual customer’s expectations.

Here I was working between suppliers and the R&D department. The R&D department had requirements and we looked for better alternatives in price and availability so that second sourcing could be viable.
