Rodrigo Queiroz

I am the Project Manager for the Tech Innovation Team, a strategical area of this company that invests in upgrading, delivering new technologies and user experience to our main products. The goal is bringing new customers, aligning with marketing strategies and to encourage our stablished customers to buy new addons and product upgrades. Our team also delivers major quality improvements and new customer care processes (including better deployments of hotfixes and patches).

I worked as a Team Leader of an R&D department for Sony & Ericsson Mobile OS Engineering team (before Android took over). I worked at Engineering Tools R&D, which involved creating and upgrading our worldwide team of developer’s tools and environment. I helped in the development of phone hardware emulators (we used as a base “qemu” open source, which is still the base for the Android emulators).

In this company, my position was to give support in system localization, bugs detection and correction of the localized and core source code that was branched from South Korea Headquarters. I have received specialized 3G protocol training in South Korea for about 2 ½ months.

My first role after the university was to upgrade a system used as base to Civil and Construction Engineers of Black & Veatch USA. Besides serving as a repository of legal and construction documents, it had very cool features like creating 3D Auto Cad Templates on the fly after giving some terrain parameters, size, type of construction, etc. It was also a very safe system, encrypted on every level of software layer as possible, since they had contracts with several Governments around the globe.
