Simulation-driven material modeling and identification: • Developed a topology optimization framework to design test specimens for one-shot identification and discovery of material models. • Built a noise-robust constitutive modeling workflow using Finite Element Model Updating and full-field displacement data for hyperelastic rubbers. • Contributed to knowledge transfer and mentoring through teaching in Experimental Mechanics course and supervising B.Sc./M.Sc. student projects and theses.

Fracture assessment of materials and structures: • Conducted simulation- and experiment-based fracture assessment of isotropic and anisotropic brittle materials, including polymers, biomaterials, and rocks. • Devised semi-analytical methods to evaluate crack-tip fields, fracture behavior and size effects. • Supervised an M.Sc. thesis.
