Sam Dowsett

Springboot, Java, Angular.Js/Typescript/WebGL, Postgres, Kubernetes, Senior developer in a team responsible for ongoing development of a single page web application for visualization of 3d point cloud scans of real world spaces allowing organizational collaboration and management anywhere in the world.

I spent 18 months leading a cross functional software development capability in what is known as the transformation team. Working closely with senior technology and change management to design and build bespoke tools and process demonstrating and allowing all delivery teams within New Zealand to reduce the time from concept to having working software in production, reducing risk, improving tech employee experience and customer satisfaction.

I joined Partstrader as an application architect. With three other members of the architecture team I was responsible for the technical leadership of the business to business online tendering platform focusing on automobile repair. In addition to my role as an architect I was tech lead and finally manager of a team of six developers and two testers dedicated to dev-ops tasks relating to deployment procedures and development support of our customers and customer facing teams.
