Institutional Family Demography Project (IFAMID): In a nutshell, we are interested in the interaction between global change and culture. When we think of Globalization, we tend to think of convergence in terms of values, ideas and behaviors. However, this is not always the case: while countries are increasingly subject to common forces, the outcomes are far from homogeneous. When new global forces clash with local cultural norms, what happens to socio-demographic behaviors?

Our mission is to understand and fight the causes of poverty by using rigorous evaluation methodologies. We help design, analyze and disseminate effective anti-poverty programs through scientific research and original data collection. We help our partners to create effective programs. We disseminate our findings and initiatives through several channels, including this website, workshops, media releases, reports for our partners and meetings with policy makers.
