The portfolio included c.120 operating units (Holdings & Treasury and Service Companies). Deliverables included quarterly and annual income statement, balance sheet and cash flow forecasting, reporting and analysis, treasury management information analysis, and sector planning and performance reporting.

Internal consultant specialised in leading strategic finance projects for the Shell Group. Specific experience of the application of project management, lean sigma techniques, and business process reengineering.

Member of Shell’s internal insurance and risk management team providing global services. Responsibilities included: seeking appropriate risk management solutions for operating company risks including providing contractual liability advice and the placement of construction, marine, liability and operational insurances; negotiation and management of the corporate external insurances and reinsurance placements; acquisitions and divestments practice leader.

Second in command of a department providing insurance and risk management services. Responsible for managing two direct reports and seven indirect reports.

Joined this global insurance broking house as a graduate trainee. Completed a two-year rotational training programme. Promoted to Account Executive. Responsible for servicing and developing a portfolio of multinational mining and utilities accounts and developing more junior account handlers.
