I was for many years a core contributor to the K Desktop Environment, one of the largest Open Source projects. I wrote several applications, maintained a handful of classes in the core libraries and handled nearly a thousand bugs. I was an invited speaker at conferences and academic institutions around the world. At this point still maintain some minor portions of the base infrastructure.

In my two years at Native Instruments I was one of the maintainers of the platform abstraction layer and designed and implemented a dynamic, real-time database and query system for Kore 2, Native Instruments' flagship product.

In my four years in the SAP LinuxLab, I ported the SAP R/3 Kernel to 64-bit Linux, together with AMD in their research and development lab performed the first benchmarks on the Opteron platform, maintained significant portions of SAP's operating-system data-collection layer and some of the Linux-specific client software. I also presented SAP-on-Linux solutions at conferences in Europe and the Middle East.
