Spearheaded several efforts for the improvement of HPC weather and climate modelling infrastructure. Analysed existing HPC models, providing recommendations for current issues and guidelines for further developments in regards to usability and portability. Developed and deployed a framework for standardised building of scientific applications, in particular the ​ICON model,​ currently used by the German Weather Service and soon to be adopted by ​several other weather forecast services in Europe.​

Lead an interdisciplinary R&D group focusing on practical applications of hydrometeorological numerical modelling. The primary objective of the team was the development of the simulation-based decision support system for Flood Prevention Barrier in St. Petersburg.

Worked on multiple projects in the area of telecom equipment development, mostly for government customers. Depending on the project and its stage, my duties included requirement engineering, research and prototyping, coordination of hardware and software teams, troubleshooting, producing technical documentation.

Contributed to the development of the computational kernel of the marine navigational simulator. Developed in-house tools for model tuning and implemented extensions for a numerical model of marine vessel dynamics.

Maintained a call-recording hardware/software system for call centres. Performed deployment and developed software customizations to support new types of PBX systems. Developed a prototype that later evolved into a new successful version of the product.
