1. Translating dialogues and scenery description in online games from Traditional Mandarin Chinese to American English. 2. Translating academic journal articles from Simplified Chinese into American English for the 'International Digital Publishing Project for Selected Chinese Academic Journals'​ <​http://jtp.cnki.net/bilingual>. The subjects vary from Spatial Econometrics to China-European Union political relation to Germany reunification.

Being the initial contact of customer enquiries and offering assistance to ensure a smooth operation of the library service at the MBS library, University of Manchester.

Language-specific Tutor: chairing the seminar of 'Introduction to Literary Translation' at MA level; providing feedback and suggestions to coursework; correcting essays and coursework on Turnitin. 2. Thesis Supervisor: Supervising MA dissertation; providing guidance of students’ dissertations; offering advice and support for Chinese-English translation issues in students’ writings; marking MA dissertation.

Serving as the initial contact point at the Service Support Centre with customers (staff members and students on campus) to resolve any IT issues for them on the phone, via email, via Remedy and Landesk; Communicating with the 2nd line supporters and the 3rd line supporters to find out solution to more complicated IT issues for customers.

Graduate Teaching Assistant for 1. History Department: seminar tutor for the module of "Late Imperial China"​ and "Modern China: 1800s - 2000s"​ at undergraduate level 2. Centre for Chinese Studies: seminar tutor for the module of "Introduction to Classical Chinese" at undergraduate level. For both seminars I was in charge of chairing the small group discussion, of assessing weekly assignments using BlackBoard e-learning system, and of marking the final paper and exam.
