I am a project supervisor on one of Petrobras’s oil drilling rigs. I am an expert in Chemistry with over 15 years of research experience. Nowadays, I plan and perform maintenance projects and develop new management tools using virtual mockups. I still teach chemistry and project management. I am a professor at Petrobras University where I teach Maintenance Planning Using Virtual Reality.

In the conclusion work, I quantified the heavy metals in lichen to develop a new methodology to quantify the environmental pollution. The chemical tests to quantify the air pollution is very expensive.

I was interested in the chemical interaction of important and carcinogenic petroleum compounds in tropical soils because the interaction of pyrene in tropical soils was unknown until then.

I built a new photoreactor and a solar reactor for the treatment of wastewater contaminated with pesticides on Fenton's reaction. The aforementioned projects proved to be very innovative both in the chemistry area and regarding the social impact.
