    Project for Wellcome Trust SEED award investigating maintenance of neural stem cell ‘stemness’ through protein arginine methylation. My duties include immunohistochemistry (IHC) on transgenic mice, cell culture with PC12 cell line, western blotting, cloning, transformations. I have optimized IHC protocols for numerous antibodies, processed paraffin embedded tissue, designed experiments, processed and quantified the results, which were used in a follow-up grant application.

    Overseeing 3 chemistry research laboratories (15 research groups with over 60 postgraduate researchers) for day-to-day basis functionality, management and maintenance of numerous departmental equipment, health and safety procedure implementation in the labs, solving various existing and arising issues in research. Hazardous waste management and disposal following the highest safety standards, fire safety and laboratory inductions, and main point of contact in case of emergencies.
