* Leading the numerical methods group to complete projects on time and within budget. * Troubleshoot numerical convergence issues associated with complex non-linear problems. * Develop and execute field test plans to collect relevant process and physical data to aid in root cause failure analysis.

* Perform root cause analysis to assist in the investigation of equipment failures. * Support rig fleet in the areas of drilling equipment specifications and integration, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, oily water separators, mud pumps, shale shakers, D-gassers and HVAC systems. * Developed program to record accumulated ton-miles of drill line.

Involved with various large and small projects that include design assessment, failure analysis, vibration analysis, fitness for service and ASME Boilier and Pressure Vessel Code compliance verification. Example projects: Deepwater Horizon BOP Failure Analysis: * Explicit dynamic analysis of drill pipe shearing using Johnson-Cook material model. * Helical and transverse post buckling analysis of the drill pipe inside riser and casing.

* Building 3D models of hydraulic cylinders, evaluating non- conformance reports and providing corrective actions * Instrumental in developing design standard for various cylinder components using both analytical and finite element methods ! Selection of seals and materials compatible with various hydraulic fluids under broad operating range of operating temperature and environments
