    I. Coronaviruses Project: Coronaviruses, including SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV, and SARS-CoV-2, express a nucleocapsid (N) protein essential for viral replication, transcription, and virion assembly. A defining feature of the N protein is the phosphorylation of the serine/arginine-rich (S/R) domain located within its central disordered region. This region is highly conserved across the Coronaviridae family, suggesting a fundamental regulatory role and a promising target for broad-spectrum antiviral intervention. Ho
