Authorized by Panama Maritime Authority (PMA) to carry out Annual Safety Inspections (ASI) onboard Panamanian flagged vessels of all types.

• Perform Classification Surveys of ships' hull & machinery; • Perform Statutory Surveys; • Perform Naval and Structural Studies; • Carry out ISM and ISPS Code Audits; • Carry out inspections for the implementation of ILO Maritime Labor Convention (MLC 2006).

• Developed and submitted conceptual proposals for the efficient promotion of maritime issues; • Represented COE CSW on committees, working groups; • Maintained working relationships with the defense industry, academies and NATO; • Transformed conceptual proposals into practical products and materials; • Contributed and recommended required future capabilities to the NATO Defense Planning Process;

• Commanded the coastal defense, maritime transportation, requisition and mobilization of civil means; • Coordinated the activities taken by military, Coast Guard and civil authorities; • Coordinated the Search and Rescue operations (SAR) within the area; • Planned and organized the execution of the annual budget; • Commanded the organization, operation and maintenance of National Defence Command & Communications Centre Crete (National and NATO); • Commanded the Naval Police on the island of Crete.

• Commanded the coastal defense, sea observation, maritime transportation, requisition and mobilization of civil means and Hellenic Navy's representation; • Coordinated the activities taken by military, Coast Guard and civil authorities; • Coordinated the Search and Rescue operations (SAR) within the area; • Planned and organized the execution of the annual budget.

Εnsured proper organization, operational training, maintenance and in general the readiness of the ship, aiming to contribute to the Hellenic Fleet Commander’s mission.

•Contributed to development procedures of NATO doctrines and publications; •Represented GRC in NATO Maritime Operations WG (MAROPS WG), as Head of AAW, ASuW and EW; •Directed the training of NATO Air Controller courses of the HNTTS, national authority for this specialized training and evaluation; •Planned, coordinated and participated as Secretary in the NATO Maritime Tactical Schools Meeting 2000, held by the HNTTS.

•Assumed among others, the duties of Navigation Officer, Communications Officer and Executive Officer on board several Navy ships, on up to 330 persons. •Commanding Officer of FPBs/FACs TYFON, KYKNOS, TOXOTIS and Squadron Commander FPBs/FACs Torpedo, on up to 160 persons.

• Implementation of ILO Maritime Labor Convention (MLC 2006) into Maritime Industry.
