Stephen Horvath

I worked as a full­stack developer for a number of startups throughout Silicon Valley. My clients ranged from very small single person designers who wanted to build out their app idea, to well­funded more mature startups who were rapidly growing.

I was the lead developer for their mobile app, writing the original code and bringing it through 7 major versions. I was also a primary architect on their backend, focusing on performance and scaling it to now handle thousands of concurrent users. I helped grow the development team from 3 to 12 developers. I set guidance for development, ran developer consortiums, and interviewed and onboarded new members. I introduced Scrum to team and provided training to managers and developers.

TurnOn Tracker is a social CRM written in Ruby on Rails. It's the first public-­facing software product that's built by the principles of the Industry of Orgasm. It helps small companies track their events and leads by making connection as important of a bottom line as income. I produced the entire project from inception to design to development to public release. I led a team of two developers, two designers/UX, and one tester, procured investment, and managed financing.

Flash/AIR on mobile platforms. I worked on several API's: Flash Media Server RTMFP protocol, Command Line Integration, GPU Acceleration, NativeWindows, NativeMenus. I designed and developed an automated testing infrastructure which intelligently generated a test matrix on the fly. Agile enthusiast: Educated team members and management about the benefits of agile development.

Worked on the DB2 Tools team. Designed and built a sophisticated automated regression testing system Java. Co-­led a team of 6 people in China and a team of 5 in San Jose. Developed a data­ and process­-tracking system using Rational ClearQuest and Perl. Designed and developed a data migration utility (with UI) using Java.
